Cautiously Observing Chinese Presence In Indian Ocean Region: Navy
China’s hustle has increased rapidly in the Indian Ocean region in recent years. The Indian Navy is aware of the moment and is being monitored with full vigilance. On Monday, Navy Chief Admiral Sunil Lamba, on Monday, clearly said that the balance of power in the Indian Ocean is in favor of India against China. During this, he also said that the Indian Navy is ahead of the Pakistani Navy. When asked about the ability of the naval chief to fight the war on two fronts, he said that as far as the Indian Navy is concerned, then there are no two fronts for us. Bhatnagar also said, ‘China possesses the right to us that they can be present in any part of the world.’ During announcing the celebration of the Indian Navy Day celebrated on December 4 every year, he gave this information in the interaction with the reporters. When asked about the preparation of the navy to deal with any threat from China’s presence in the area, he said that the capabilities of the Indian Navy are mission-based and are not targeted against any country.
Bhatnagar said, ‘For the last few years, the Indian Navy has developed its force on the basis of a mission. Our capabilities are mission-oriented, not targeted against a country. Whenever we will be given a mission, we will be successful in fulfilling it. ‘ Let us tell you that Navy Day is celebrated every year to celebrate the victory in the Indo-Pak war in 1971.
