Weapons for Army approved at cost of 7607 crores

In the meeting of the Defense Acquisition Council under the chairmanship of Defense Minister Nirmala Sitharaman important decisions related to procurement of seized personnel, their weapons, and vessels. In this meeting, many decisions related to new weapons were taken for the jawans deployed on the border of the country, in which the most important was the purchase of state-of-the-art weapons for the jawans.

DAC has approved the purchase of 41 thousand light machine guns and more than 3.5 lakh carbine for the cost of 7607 crores.

A total of 9435 crores of defense deals were stamped in the DAC meeting. The purchase of machine guns, carbines, and high-capacity radio sets was approved in this meeting and DAC approved the purchase of two pollution control vessels for the Coast Guard.

It was said at the meeting that the state-of-the-art weapons and communication equipment will not only increase the capacity to fight for the army but also increase their confidence. It was said at the meeting that considering the requirements of the troops, arms will be procured on the basis of the fast track.

This decision taken under the leadership of defense minister shows her seriousness for our jawans these weapons will increase the power of our army and their motivation will also be maintained as this present government is taking many decisions for the betterment of army and defense forces of our country. The most important point of this decision was that these weapons will be delivered as fast-track means as soon as possible. We hope many more such decisions will come from our government to increase the power of our army.
